Assembly Action

Proposals Placed in Assembly for Member Consultation...

The Cabinet have certainly not wasted any time of this new period of government...Getting off to a flying start with numerous proposals being outlined in the Assembly forum for Members to get their teeth into...

The major drive behind the schemes coming from the Member Survey that was conducted earlier this year...After a period of formulation behind Cabinet closed doors, Prime Minister Kloister proudly launched them for discussion in the Assembly earlier this week..."This is a great opportunity to really act upon good ideas which have a solid base, coming from the membership themselves...We are looking to further enhance these proposals into clear plans of action and have them implemented before this period of government draws to a close..." Said the Prime Minister...

This group of initiatives, if implemented, could represent the biggest sea-change in The South Pacific since the Charter & Law review of 2 years ago...

The full list of proposals are:
Project Reclaim
Project Origin
Project De-Classify
Project Media
Project Welcome Wagon
Contingency Planning
Planning Committees

In addition to this, Mavenu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, launched a discussion about Embassy policy...

All areas are open for debate and your feedback is most welcome...
